From finding the right space and taking care of leasing requirements to building maintenance and servicing, our in-house team takes a hands-on approach to making each workplace run smoothly.
As part of the Stockman Group, Above Your Space is backed by decades of experience in Christchurch property, spanning heritage restoration, commercial rebuilds and long-term building management. Owned by the Stockman family, with three generations now involved across both businesses, that connection brings practical expertise and a personal, long-term commitment to the buildings, businesses and people we support.
Led by Shaun Stockman, our team is genuinely invested in the success of our clients and their businesses. We take pride in maintaining high standards across every space, with responsive service, consistency and care at the centre of what we do.
Director
Shaun is the founder and Managing Director of Stockman Group, providing strategic leadership across the business with a focus on property development, long-term growth and the continued stewardship of the Group’s Christchurch property portfolio.
With a commitment to Christchurch that extends beyond the business, Shaun is actively involved with several community organisations supporting vulnerable people and children at risk. He also serves as Treasurer of the Central City Business Association and a Director of The Christchurch Heritage Trust. These endeavours reflect his dual passion for social impact and heritage preservation.
Shaun is based in Christchurch, where he lives in a character-filled apartment in a historic, 112-year-old building. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, including his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Asset Manager
With almost two decades’ experience in asset management, Rachel leads the Property and Asset Management team within Above Your Space and the wider Stockman Group. Her role spans the ongoing care, coordination and performance of the portfolio, helping ensure each building is managed with a long-term view.
With responsibility across an extensive range of properties, Rachel helps ensure the buildings, leases and financial management systems are well coordinated. Her experience and steady oversight support a smooth and reliable experience for clients, while helping her team deliver the high standard of service it is known for.
Born in Christchurch, Rachel lives in Halswell with her partner and their children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, and catching up with family and friends.
Accounts & Finance Manager
Rachel joined Above Your Space in 2019 after completing a qualification in Business Administration and Technology. She has since progressed into the role of Accounts & Finance Manager, where she plays an important part in overseeing the company’s accounts and supporting the smooth financial operation of the business.
With a strong eye for detail and an in-depth understanding of how the business runs, Rachel helps keep the behind-the-scenes systems and processes organised, efficient and reliable, contributing to a seamless, stress-free experience for clients.
Originally from Dobson on the West Coast, Rachel has lived in Christchurch since 2018. Outside of work, she enjoys keeping fit, catching up with friends and playing social netball.
Property Manager
Chelsea is involved in the day-to-day management of the Above Your Space portfolio, with a focus on commercial leasing, client relationships and marketing coordination. She works closely with agents, prospective clients and existing tenants to help match businesses with the right office space and support them throughout their time within the portfolio.
With a background in hospitality, Chelsea brings a direct, personable and service-focused approach to her role. She is known for clear communication and her ability to build strong, lasting relationships, helping clients feel supported right from their first enquiry.
Originally from Australia, Chelsea now calls Christchurch home with her husband and their dog, Rosie. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, exploring local markets and spending time at the beach.
Property & Finance Assistant
Tyrell joined Above Your Space in 2022 as a Trainee Property Management Assistant and now works across both property and finance. His role is varied and hands-on, supporting the upkeep of the wider portfolio alongside property administration, office support and the practical tasks that help each space run smoothly.
Working closely with the wider team, Tyrell brings a practical approach and willingness to get involved wherever needed. As the third generation of the Stockman family involved in Above Your Space, he is building broad experience across property management and is motivated to keep developing his career within the business.
A Christchurch local, Tyrell enjoys basketball, the gym, spending time with family and friends, and heading out on adventures with his partner.
Recently acquired by Above Your Space, Blackheath brings a more independent style of boutique managed office space to the portfolio. Set within an iconic 19th-century Victorian terrace, it offers private, self-contained office suites with heritage character, modern comfort and everyday practicality for businesses and professionals.
