Whether you’re a solo operator or a growing team, our portfolio is designed to evolve with your business, offering a range of workspace options across character buildings and contemporary developments.
Led by Shaun, the Above Your Space team are hands-on, responsive, and genuinely invested in the success of the businesses we host. We take pride in maintaining high standards across all of our spaces, with a strong focus on service, community, and consistency.
Shaun Stockman
Managing Director
As Founder of the Stockman Group, Shaun provides strategic leadership and oversees the company’s high-level operations, with a strong focus on property development and long-term growth; a pursuit he insists doesn’t feel like work.
Shaun is deeply committed to community service and heritage preservation, with a longstanding involvement in organisations supporting vulnerable individuals, at-risk youth and the protection of Christchurch’s historic character. He also plays an active role in the life of Hope Presbyterian Church.
Based in Christchurch, Shaun lives in a character-rich 112-year-old apartment in the historic OGB building. He treasures time with his grown family of four adult children, eight grandchildren, and his newly welcomed great-granddaughter.
Rachel Stockman
Asset manager
With more than 20 years of experience in property management, Rachel oversees the company’s asset management operations and plays a key role in the financial management of the wider business.
Known for her exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and meticulous approach to record management, Rachel plays an integral role in the smooth day-to-day oversight of the portfolio. Her highly organised systems and long-standing knowledge of the business ensure the many moving parts behind the scenes are managed with consistency and care.
Born and raised in Christchurch, Rachel lives in Halswell with her partner and together they share a blended family of five children.
Rachel Rowling
Accounts & Finance Manager
Rachel joined the team in July 2019 after achieving her Level 4 NZ Certificate in Business Administration & Technology. As Accounts & Finance Manager, she oversees the company’s accounts and financial administration, ensuring the smooth running of the business behind the scenes.
Known for her methodical and organised way of working, she manages the complex tasks behind the scenes with ease, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Rachel’s dedication and attention to detail make her an invaluable part of the team.
Rachel grew up in Dobson on the West Coast and moved to Christchurch in 2018. She enjoys keeping fit, catching up with friends and playing social netball.
Chelsea Foote
Property Manager
Chelsea is involved in the day-to-day management of the Above Your Space portfolio, with a focus on commercial leasing, tenant relationships, and coordinating marketing across the portfolio. She works closely with agents and prospective tenants to find the right space for each tenant’s needs, while supporting existing tenants throughout their time within the portfolio, and contributing to the wider day-to-day operations of the Group.
With a background in hospitality, Chelsea is known for her direct and personable communication style, and her ability to build strong, lasting relationships.
Originally from Australia, Chelsea now calls Christchurch home with her husband and their dog, Rosie. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, treasure hunting through local markets and spending time at the beach.
Tyrell Stockman
Property & Finance Assistant
Tyrell joined the team in January 2022 as a Trainee Property Management Assistant. In his role, Tyrell assists the whole team across all aspects of the business, particularly with the day-to-day management and upkeep of our Above Your Space properties and administration support in the office. He is enthusiastic and hands-on with his training, and is motivated to experience everything property management has to offer as he moves forward with his career with the Stockman Group.
He is a Christchurch local and enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym and spending time with Family, Friends and going on adventures with his Girlfriend. He is particularly fond of and can be easily bribed with a hot chocolate
Diesel
Our resident English Bulldog
A champion napper and part time receptionist, Diesel loves greeting visitors – especially those with freshly moisturised legs. Most days, you’ll find him snoozing in the sun or keeping morale high with his signature charm.
About Stockman Group
Stockman Group was built and established by Shaun with an independent board now in place to assist with governance. The Group serves some 150 – 200 commercial tenants.
